everyone, welcome to the final episode of
2024 on the Let's Talk Yoga podcast. A
big thank you to all the listeners who
show up month after month, year after
year, and a big hi-fi to all the new
listeners who joined us this year. The
intention of this podcast is to create a
space where we live, and love, and
celebrate our yoga together.
We learn to do better as students who
teach this practice. And when I think of
one of my truest joys in my life, it is
of being serviced through yoga. And this
podcast is such a wonderful expression of
my core in many ways. It is something I
truly look forward to. The podcast brings
me joy, and it is such an expression of
who I am in many ways. It is a privilege
to be able to sit here and just share my
heart and my yoga with you every single
week, and to also be able to interact
with some of the most amazing, generous,
kind, knowledgeable yoga people on this
planet. So what a wonderful life it is.
As I sit here and reflect back, today,
the Let's Talk Yoga podcast is in the top
5% of podcasts globally, which is no
small feat for a niche podcast like this.
There are some 4 million podcasts out
there, if I'm not wrong. So for us to be
in the top 5% of global podcasts, that's
a testament to you and your dedication to
yoga. And today, as we close the year,
the Let's Talk Yoga podcast is downloaded
in 219 countries across the globe. And
when I look back at just 4 years ago,
when I started this show, I was like, "If
it's bad, and if nobody listens, I'll
just delete it off the face of the
internet." And no one will ever know. And
here we are, having connected globally
with so many of you, it's become truly a
very special part of my life and my days.
And I don't think I can explain,
coherently, how much this podcast means,
and the guests, the conversations, and
this community that enriches my life on a
daily basis. I love the little
conversations. I see all the Instagram
messages that you send me about you being
a podcast listener, where you're tuning
in from, how it's impacting your yoga,
how it's helping you to conversations on
the newsletter. And when we meet in our
virtual programs, when we meet face to
face, to me, that is one of the most
exciting things, whether it's in person
or virtually. Also this year, so many of
you who traveled from Spain and Germany
and across from the East Coast and India,
you came to the studio to say hello. You
made time in your travel to stop by at
the studio. Again, what a joy and what a
privilege it is to be able to share this
experience with so many of you. This
episode is not just me droning on about
how happy and grateful I am. This episode
is to tell you what's happening in 2025.
And I don't want you to miss out on
anything, which is why I'm packing
everything into this year end episode.
And I want you to be, I think of you as,
all of you as my very massive board of
directors. So I'm thinking out loud and I
want you to come back and tell me what
you want to see more of on the Let's Talk
Yoga podcast. I'm going to be sharing
some timelines, some things I have set up
in the new year. And you will always hear
this on the podcast, but you will also
get more detailed, structured updates on
my newsletter. So make sure you are
signed up for that. The link is always in
my bio and in the
show notes descriptions.
So I wanted to take you through some of
the things I have planned in the new year
and have a listen and see if anything
jumps out at you. And if you want to mark
your calendar ahead of time, that way you
plan around things that are coming up. So
firstly, let's talk about this podcast.
You will continue to have weekly drops,
just like we've always been doing for the
past four years. You will have
conversations with guests. You will have
long form solo episodes. None of that
changes. I know you really enjoy these
long, deep conversations. So we're going
to keep that. But I'm thinking of adding
a second episode drop every week. So
instead of getting a podcast once a week,
you will now have access to two podcasts
in a week. One will be the long form. And
the new one that I want to add is a short
episode. I get so many questions from
conversations with yoga teachers.
And
so much potential to do a second episode
every week. It would be a
deep dive into one thing.
For example, it could be a deep dive into
a yoga pose or adaptability of a specific
pose or how to use something in yoga or
how to explain something, how to break
down something, how to teach something. I
can make a list of 500 things just off my
head of mini episodes. We can create mini
deep dives that we can do. But these will
be shorter episodes. So they'll just be
under 10 minutes, but they will give you
immense clarity and context. So if this
sounds like something you would like me
to start in January, then
me on Instagram. Take a screenshot of
this episode and tag me and share it so
we can actually see how much interest
there is for a second drop. And I'm
excited about it. I really hope this
sounds exciting to you. It is something I
have been thinking of for the past couple
of weeks, but was waiting to sit down and
share this with you.
And talking of January, I will be in
launch mode for my Pranayama Yoga Teacher
Training and Immersive Study program. If
you've been a long time listener, you
know all about my Pranayama training. It
is one of my hallmark courses. And every
year when this is offered, we have
hundreds of teachers
who rush to do it because
It is one of the most sought after
Pranayama courses in the online yoga
world. Today, I challenge you to go look
for a course that is this in-depth and
structured and built to help you succeed.
It doesn't exist. So I would highly
encourage for you to take full advantage
of this Pranayama
training that starts in February.
Mark your calendar for February 14th.
That's when it starts. Enrollments are
open. Early bird pricing is running right
now. And I would love for you to grab the
early bird price. The second date I want
you to mark is January 24th. And I'm
doing an info session which is just live.
It is not recorded. The link to sign up
for that is also in the show notes. When
the info session happens, the early bird
pricing would have run out. So if that's
something that is important for you to
know, know that January 24th is the info
session but the early bird price would
have run out the week prior. So the
Pranayama training runs from February
14th. It's for six weeks. There is a live
class every week. And if you can't make
it live, it is recorded. You have access
to everything in the course. The
pre-recorded content library, the live
zoom classes replay, the course manuals,
the done for you sequences, the alumni
sessions, the manual, the PowerPoints,
all of it is available for six months
from February. So you can finish it at
your own pace. If you can show up live,
there is nothing like live learning. But
I also understand that it's middle of the
night for some of you and you will be
watching it on replay. Anyway, I am so,
so, so excited about
that Pranayama course.
It is deeply personal to me, which I'll
talk about in the new year.
The details
all online and I'll talk about it more in
January. So I'm starting the year off
with my Pranayama training.
And once that wraps up
I'm running a yoga retreat. This is
happening at Leavenworth, which is about
a two hour drive to two and a half hour
drive from Seattle. And if you are local
or if you want to come down for this
retreat, then make sure you block June
20th to June 22nd. The details for this
retreat are online. There are only a few
spots. There are only limited spots, not
few spots. There are limited spots left.
So I would highly recommend that if you
know you want to come to an in-person
enrichment weekend with me, then June
20th to 22nd is the perfect time. It's
also International Yoga Day on June 21st.
So it is a wonderful thing to celebrate
in the new year if that's of value to
you. You can also meet some of my
teachers, some of our local alumni, if
you are coming down. And if you are an
out of town student,
have plenty of resources to help you get
set up, which airport to fly into, how to
get up to Leavenworth and a whole lot of
other things. So I'll talk about that in
the new year, but mark your calendar for
June 20th to June 22nd.
It's an in-person retreat. And
there are a lot of you, we can do a lot
of fun teacher enrichment programs during
the retreat. The details are online.
Just look in the show notes
for the link to the retreat.
And then comes
October. In October, I am launching my
online 300 hour yoga teacher
training and study program.
I am so excited and looking forward to
October next year. Bringing this 300 hour
program to you is a lot of work. I've
done 300 hours at my studio before. I've
suspended them over the years, but
putting it online is a whole different
ballgame because when you learn online,
it's just more involved than sitting in a
live lecture. So it's a lot of work. And
between all the things I juggle, my dance
show, which runs up to me
the yoga studios, the dance studio, I
don't want to rush into it. So I have set
the 300 hour to start
for you in October 2025.
And the way this training is shaping up,
I cannot wait to get you into a Zoom room
to show you how much love and effort we
are putting into making this the most
detailed, authentic, well-crafted 300
hour that will hopefully make you learn
so effectively that you and I together,
we change the bar for yoga education in
the modern world. So I'm very, very, very
excited. We also have guest teachers.
A lot of them are our podcast guests. So
right from Vikramjit Singh to Prasad
Rangnekar to Indu Arora to Dr. Mansa Rao,
Sandeep Manoor. I mean, the list is
pretty long and I am so stoked to have
them be a part of our 300 hour faculty.
Again, I will get you the details after
Pranayama training is over, but this is
definitely happening next year. I've put
it out here. There is a wait list for the
300 hour in the show notes. It's also on
my Instagram bio. So if you would like to
be in the know-how of what's happening,
then make sure you are on that list. I
don't have any other details to share
with you at this point. So just hang
tight a little bit and I will bring you
more about the 300 hour in the new year.
And apart from this, I also plan to offer
some small workshops, like one-time
workshops and mini master classes and
courses that aren't very long, that are
not 30 hours or 300 hours long. But just
one-time things, quickly go deep into
something. I have a list of these, but
they will also be coming
your way in the new year.
And just another passing thought I've
had, and I'd love to hear your input on
this, is should I bring the mindful yoga
teacher's club back? This is something I
used to do a lot of back in the day when
my calendar got full and I tore my ACL
and that last year I took a few things
off schedule. So if you would like to
have monthly mentorship with me in a
group format where it's affordable for
everybody, then let me know. The mindful
yoga teacher's club is where we would
meet once a month, virtually, and we
would connect and discuss a specific
topic, answer questions, and it's a
support community online. It will have
teachers from all over the globe.
let me know if you want me to talk more
about it and share my ideas for it. If
this is something that would be of value
for you, because I'm already giving you
the podcast, the monthly newsletter, the
online courses, the master classes, the
trainings. So I'm thinking maybe we don't
need the mindful yoga teacher's club,
especially with the new
podcast drop that's coming. But anyway,
I'm throwing it out here. This is a big
brainstorm podcast with you.
And yeah, that's it. I also have some
travel lined up next year. I'll be
teaching at the Seduna Yoga Festival.
There's another festival that I'm in
conversation with, but those are local,
close to me festivals. I will be in Italy
in September for something personal. But
if you are in Italy and around Europe and
you want me to bring some of my courses
and workshops to your studio, then just
reach out to me directly and we can have
these conversations offline. I would love
to be able to go to yoga
studios and practice and teach
just meet you face to face. It's
something I hope to do in future a little
more of. But yeah, I'm leaving it out
here. If any of you know that I'm right
next to your studio in a specific city
and we could do something that would
always be fun. But
that's pretty much it from me.
I hope you have a wonderful end of the
year and that it is soft and soothing and
slow and you get to just be and you rest
and unwind. And I hope you feel loved and
cherished and that you find joy and
and community, at least here in
Let's Talk Yoga
world.
yoga always help you find your best self,
your truest self. And thank you deeply
from the bottom of my heart and my soul
for being here in
support of this podcast.
love, your kindness, your humor is all
that I can ask for and all that you do
for yoga really warms my heart up.
sending you so much love at the end of
this year. I'm excited to see you in 2025
and all that we'll do together. Take care
my friend. Happy holidays. Bye bye.
